Today I’m reviewing Breath of Spring, the fourth book in the Seasons Of The Heart series by Charlotte Hubbard.
Here is a brief synopsis:
As a bright season brings a fresh start to Willow Ridge, Annie Mae Knepp feels she can never make peace with the past.
Her disgraced ex-bishop father is furious she has taken her five siblings to live with her. She’s never been truly at home in her faith. . .or believing in herself. And Annie Mae fears no man will want to take on the responsibilities she’s gladly shouldered.
True, her quiet neighbor Adam Wagler has been steadfast and unshakeable helping her through her trials, but he surely couldn’t think of someone so lost as more than a friend.
Believing she is unworthy because of her doubts, Annie Mae will find in a moment of surprising revelation that God can work impossible miracles–and that love makes all things new.

He’s back… Hiram is back — and more trouble than a barrel of monkeys! As a matter of fact, I think I would rather have a barrel of monkeys to deal with than have to face Hiram Knepp!
And I never thought I would say it — especially since Hiram is very prominent in this book — but this might just be my favorite… so far.
I just knew we would have to make time to deal with Hiram — the dirty, old snake. If you’ve been reading along with me, you will remember that when Hiram left, his two oldest daughters, Annie Mae and Nellie, refused to stay with him.
This story is mostly about Annie Mae, one of the sweetest girls you would ever meet — and of course, she’s been missing her little brothers and sister. But who shows up, but Yonnie Stoltzfus, who Annie Mae was spending time with before her father left town.
Now Yonnie can be pretty persuasive, if you know what I mean, and he’s determined to spend time with Annie Mae. You’ll have to read the story to find out if his intentions are honorable or not, but I will say it’s a bit intriguing for Annie Mae to have two boys trying to befriend her.
Charlotte Hubbard just wows me with her stories! I find myself wanting to read one after another; it’s so much fun getting caught up in them! Once again, we’re back in Willow Ridge with Miriam and her extended family… and friends.
Don’t miss out on this truly awesome story!
