Today I am reviewing Dangerous Tidings, the first book in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes series by one of my favorite authors, Dana Mentink.
Here is a brief synopsis:
SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH
Coast Guard rescue swimmer Brent Mitchell wants only one gift for Christmas: to find his sister.
When he discovers that her disappearance is tangled with the death of private eye Bruce Gallagher, he joins forces with Bruce’s daughter Donna to investigate. Grieving Donna is as tough as the determined military man, and both will stop at nothing to find the truth.
But the duo soon discovers that a murdered father and a missing sister merely top a looming pyramid of secrets on Coronado Island. Deadly secrets.
These unlikely partners have vowed to stick together until their most important case is closed, but they may pay with their lives.

I LOVED IT! I LOVED IT! I LOVED IT!
Pacific Coast Private Eyes: Sisters Fighting Crime
This is such a cool new series . . .
I could tell you that Dana, my dear, sweet friend, named the main character — Donna — after me! I could, but it wouldn’t be true. Nope; I’m just teasing . . . Dana most likely wrote this story before she even met me. (Dana, if you’re reading this, I hope you’re smiling at my silliness).
Now let me tell you how much I loved this book . . . once I picked it up, I honestly didn’t put it down until I had reached the last line. Dana really knows how to keep her readers’ interest.
Brent and Donna get involved in their respective investigations — and end up . . . nope, not gonna do it. I’m not going to give anything else away. This book is SO worth your time.
Dana excels at writing great suspense novels . . . with so many twists and turns, it’s impossible to guess who the bad guy is! And you simply MUST keep reading until . . . you’ve reached the end and the mystery is solved. Don’t miss out on this fantastic read.
Find it. Get it. Read it.
God bless you!
