Loving the Lawman | Ruth Logan Herne

Today I am reviewing Loving the Lawman, the 4th book in the Kirkwood Lake series by Ruth Logan Herne.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Safe in His Arms

Widowed and pregnant, Gianna Costanza comes to Kirkwood Lake with her world in pieces.

She’s determined to put her life back together after her cop husband’s death, and romance definitely isn’t part of the plan.

But when she meets her new landlord and neighbor, she knows she doesn’t stand a chance.

Deputy Sheriff Seth Campbell is strong and kind, and more supportive than she ever imagined a man could be.

Soon he’s sweeping Gianna off her feet.

But she doesn’t know if he’s ready for an instant family—or if she’s brave enough to love another lawman.

MY THOUGHTS:

Oh, what a wonderful story!

Gianna Costanza lost one man she loved – she doesn’t intend to put herself in that position again. Seth Campbell has a past with hurt, too. Is he ready for a relationship?

Well, at first it might seem impossible . . .

Of course, that’s what great stories are made of – impossible dreams.

Ruth Logan Herne knows just how to write a story with seemingly impossible odds. But what she does best is find the best ways to make situations work. Just how she does this – is different in each situation, with each problem, each impossible dream.

This story touched my heart. . . so many beloved children wanted and needed by a hurting parent. The characters – even the babies – are beautifully flawed, yet perfect in their own ways.

Don’t miss this exciting series, found in the wonderful (fictional) place of Kirkwood Lake.

Happy Reading!!!

I like stories of impossible dreams or odds and how God works it all out…..especially in the romance department in a book! 🙂
