Today I am reviewing Healing the Lawman’s Heart, the 6th book in the Kirkwood Lake series by Ruth Logan Herne.
Here is a brief synopsis:
An Officer and a Lady
Single mom Julia Harrison is the last person Tanner Reddington should get involved with.
He’s promised to stay away from all things baby.
But the state trooper’s protective instincts outweigh his misgivings when he meets the lovely midwife.
Julia is opening a women’s clinic in Kirkwood Lake, while raising two small boys on her own.
Plagued by memories of the family he lost, Tanner fights the pull he feels toward Julia and her kids.
But when an orphaned newborn brings Tanner and Julia together, they begin to consider their future…as husband and wife.
An Officer and a Lady . . . Don’t miss HEALING THE LAWMAN’S HEART by RUTH LOGAN HERNE! – Tweet this!
I just finished reading this story and . . . WOW!
The details that Ruth Logan Herne add to her stories make all the difference! The people — the town — it all seems so real.
And I want to share how much I appreciate that, instead of being happy when a difficult situation with her ex-husband seems to be working out in her favor, she definitely goes the extra mile and makes it possible for her ex-husband to get a better hold on the situation. Many people wouldn’t agree, but it was a really great choice.
OK! I can’t say any more about it (I did my best to not give anything away; therefore, leaving you totally clueless). Of course, my readers know I make every attempt to not ruin the story. After all, I want you to read it, too!
I don’t know if there will be another book written in this series, but in my opinion, if this is the last one — it’s a good one to end the series (although I’d love to see more of these characters).
I can’t recommend this story enough — I really can’t!
Believe me, if you enjoy reading books by Ruth Logan Herne, or if you’re reading the Kirkwood Lake series, please be sure to get this one. I tried earlier to pick a favorite one, but it’s impossible — I love them all!
Don’t miss this exciting series, found in the wonderful (fictional) place of Kirkwood Lake.
