Today I am reviewing Love’s Journey Home, the third book in The Bliss Creek Amish series by Kelly Irvin.
Here is a brief synopsis:
It’s been seven years since her husband died, but Helen Crouch is doing just fine. She’s selling her jams and canned goods at the bakery and making a tidy living.
But her whole world goes topsy-turvy when a new family moves to town. Gabriel Gless has brought his children to Bliss Creek to escape the worldly influences in Indiana.
Helen and Gabriel have so much in common — the loss of their beloved spouses, the experience of raising their families alone, their rock-solid faith?so why can’t they seem to speak without arguing?
And that’s not all that’s going on in Bliss Creek this summer. In the middle of a punishing drought, the community is faced with the decision to uproot their families and establish a new settlement. As families struggle to say goodbye, each one must find the faith to follow the Lord’s direction.

Helen Crouch caught my attention in To Love and to Cherish, and again in A Heart Made New — but this book, Love’s Journey Home, is where her story shines — and I read it, hoping that she could find the love and commitment she desperately desires!
Gabriel Gless is a good man — but in this story, he gets my vote for a kick in the pants! Wake up, Gabriel. Stop dwelling on the problems around you, swallow your pride, and reach out in faith…
I began reading this series . . . and when I had finished one story, I would pick up the next one . . . and continue reading — all the way to the end. And I am very happy to report that the next series, with reviews beginning next Monday, will bring us some of the same characters we grew to love in this series.
Kelly Irvin has written a wonderful series — with love, romance, family, and life-long commitments.
God bless you!
