A Plain Love Song| Kelly Irvin Marathon

Today I am reviewing A Plain Love Song, the third book in The New Hope Amish series by Kelly Irvin.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Adah Knepp wants nothing more than to make music. It’s all she’s ever desired–to sing and play the guitar and write her own songs.

That’s a dream that will never come true in the confines of her strict Amish community.

But then she meets Jackson Hart, and all of a sudden she finds the chance for a different kind of life.

A real stage, a real guitar, and a real opportunity to sing her songs to a real audience!

But pursuing her dreams means turning her back on her family and community–and saying goodbye to Matthew, the gentle Amish farmer she can’t get out of her mind. Is it worth giving up the only home she’s ever known to pursue her dreams?

This is such a wonderful story!

When Adah Knepp clean houses, she sings . . . sometimes along with the radio, and sometimes she sings the songs she writes — songs that glorify God. She has a voice like an angel, but she knows this is something she can’t share with anyone, especially those in her community.

When Jackson Hart persuades Adah to let him teach her to play the guitar, he realizes that she’s a natural — and he pushes and pushes until he convinces her to go with him to Branson to write music.

Although Adah loves singing, she isn’t at all prepared for what happens next!  And I don’t want to share too much, so I’m going to suggest you read this book if you want to discover what happens to Adah and Jackson.

I’ll share this much with you… I LOVED the ending!!!

So go pick up a copy — or the whole series — and spend this weekend reading about the New Hope Amish community…

Happy Reading!

God bless you!

Donna, it’s always nice to hear when a book has a wonderful ending. I’m going to have to write this entire series or maybe I’ll win one. Thank you for a great review.

Such a dilemma for an Amish girl to have!! I’ve read similar fiction stories where they have to choose between their world or the English one, sometimes with heartbreaking results! This sounds really good 🙂

Another book to add to my ever growing list. Winter is coming so what is better than a hot cup of cocoa, tea, or coffee and a good book!! Thank you for reviewing books for so many.
