Today I am reviewing A Baby For the Minister, a Love Inspired book by Laurel Blount.
Here is a brief synopsis:
A minister with a heart of gold…and a pregnant bride with no groom!
Jilted at the altar, Natalie Davis has no one she can turn to – until Jacob Stone steps in.
The single minister’s drawn to the beautiful mummy-to-be and wants to help…even if it goes against his congregation’s wishes and could cost him his job.
But when she refuses to accept charity, can he convince her she’s more than a ministry project?
A Baby For the Minister was an enduring story. . . and the title is perfect. When Natalie is jilted at the altar, her substitute minister, Jacob Stone, steps in to help her.
I loved how Jacob refused to worry about his job. . . or the gossip flying all around. . . and did whatever he could to make Natalie’s life in an old, run-down house, bearable.
This is the first book I’ve read by Laurel Blount — but it certainly won’t be the last. Entertaining from beginning to end, you’ll love meeting Jacob Stone. . . and his enthusiasm for helping others! He is truly a blessing. . . and I hope this story blesses you as much as it did me.
