Reunited With the Bull Rider | Jill Kemerer

Today I am reviewing Reunited With the Bull Rider, the second story in the Wyoming Cowboys series by Jill Kemerer.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Goodbye rodeo, hello hometown

But is this Wyoming Cowboy ready to face his past?

Amy Deerson wanted to mentor a child. Her plan did not include former bull rider Nash Bolton—the little girl’s brother and guardian. It’s been a decade since Nash left town without a word, breaking Amy’s young heart.

Now they must put their painful past aside to help fragile, traumatized Ruby. If only getting over their first love were that simple.

MY THOUGHTS:

This wonderful story really touched my heart!

When Amy Deerson shows up at her church to meet the young child she’s been asked to mentor, she has no idea she’s about to come face-to-face with Nash Bolton, the man who broke her heart! But this story is so much more than just two young people trying to cope with the present, without letting the past destroy what they’re working together to accomplish. Nash’s young sister desperately needs Amy’s help — and friendship — if she’s to get beyond her own scary past.

Jill Kemerer did an awesome job bringing these three people together… and helping them to seek God’s help in working together. Great characters. Great story. This is one of my favorite books now — one I will read again and again.

Warning… you might just need a tissue to get through this heart-warming story!

Happy reading!

Blessings!

The Rancher’s Mistletoe Bride | Jill Kemerer

Today I am reviewing The Rancher’s Mistletoe Bride, the first story in the Wyoming Cowboys series by Jill Kemerer.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Coming Home for Christmas

Wedding planner Lexi Harrington needs a manager for her inherited Wyoming ranch. Clint Romine is the perfect man for the job, but the ruggedly handsome cowboy soon presents a new dilemma—distraction.

Lexi can’t fall for a small-town rancher when she’s planning to return to her big-city career after the holidays. Home has always been elusive for former foster kid Clint.

Working alongside Lexi at Rock Step Ranch feels too cozy—and too risky. Opening up to her means revealing a secret about his past that could jeopardize everything he holds dear.

This Christmas, can Clint learn to trust Lexi with the truth…and with his heart?

MY THOUGHTS:

if you’ve read anything by Jill Kemerer, then you’re going to enjoy her new series!

Clint Romine is a good man, but lacking in confidence in a big way. It’s a bit refreshing to find a man who’s willing to go above and beyond when doing his job, yet who is humble and down to earth. I think that’s one of the reasons Lexi Harrington is attracted to him–he’s the opposite of most cowboys she’s known.

The Rancher’s Mistletoe Bride is the first book in Jill Kemerer’s newest series, the Wyoming Cowboys series, and I can’t wait to read the sequels. I loved this story! I love how Clint does his job, and watches over Lexi, too. I was lost when he prepared chicken noodle soup for her!

But that’s enough chitchat. I don’t want to ruin the story for you. I’d rather you read the story for yourself.

Happy reading!

Blessings!

The Cowboy’s Convenient Marriage | Valerie Comer

Today I am reviewing The Cowboy’s Convenient Marriage, the fourth story in the Saddle Springs Romance series by Valerie Comer.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Rivals form a marriage of convenience in this contemporary cowboy romance, but plan not to fall in love!

When Spencer Haviland receives registered mail from his great-uncle’s attorney, he figures he’ll sell his upcoming inheritance after the old man dies. After all, he’s anything but a cowboy. But when Spencer’s life suddenly unravels, he retreats to the rundown Montana ranch only to discover his cousin’s widow and child firmly entrenched.

The Rocking H is the most secure home Carmen Haviland has ever known until Spencer arrives, claiming to be Great-Uncle Howard’s heir. But with the attorney’s revelation that his client is considering bestowing the ranch to charity instead, Carmen reluctantly agrees to Spencer’s rash plan for the sake of her daughter.

Will a marriage of convenience offer them both what they seek, or will their vows become anything but convenient?

MY THOUGHTS:

YES!  I knew it!  I just knew it!

And now comes the hard part… I can’t tell you what I’m referring to, or I’ll spoil the story — and I cannot do that! But believe me, I am certain you are going to LOVE this story as much as I do. I love it so much, I honestly can’t wait to read it again. So I’m going to read the whole series again when the next book in the series comes out!

Awesome characters!  Awesome story!  Awesome ending!

Don’t miss this exciting new series by Valerie Comer!

Happy Reading!

The Cowboy’s Romantic Dreamer | Valerie Comer

Today I am reviewing The Cowboy’s Romantic Dreamer, the third story in the Saddle Springs Romance series by Valerie Comer.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Opposites attract in this romance with a grumpy cowboy burned by love and a bubbly romance editor with (almost) all the answers!

Burned by love, Trevor Delgado has pushed aside all his personal dreams in favor of expanding his family’s ranching empire in western Montana. That’s what any hardworking, dependable firstborn son should do, right?

He’s not lonely, just solitary. All he needs is a saddle beneath him, the mountain breeze on his face… and no time to think.

Editing hundreds of romance novels has made Denae Archibald an expert on love. She knows how it’s supposed to go… and tall, dark and mysterious Trevor Delgado is exactly her kind of hero. If only her issues weren’t enough to send any worthy cowboy galloping for the range.

How can the romantic dreamer and the guarded cowboy kindle their hopes for a future together?

MY THOUGHTS:

Oh, how I loved the story of Trevor and Denae!

Trevor reminded me of the many, many people who have had a bad experience and are determined to close off their hearts from love. it seems a safer place to be, but it’s a lonely one… as Trevor finally realizes… and he quickly decides to date Denae before he loses his courage.

What a wonderful story! Once you begin reading it, you won’t be able to put it down until the end. Don’t miss this exciting new series by Valerie Comer!

Happy Reading!

The Cowboy’s Mixed-Up Matchmaker | Valerie Comer

Today I am reviewing The Cowboy’s Mixed-Up Matchmaker, the second story in the Saddle Springs Romance series by Valerie Comer.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Friends don’t let friends turn thirty… single.

It’s been almost fourteen long years since two teens made a pact to marry each other if both remained single at thirty. But the nearer the time comes, the more Lauren Yanovich steps up her matchmaking game to let James off the hook. Not that he likely remembers.

James Carmichael has been waiting forever, praying Lauren will be waiting for him. But, just when the end is in sight, she begins dating someone else, and his hopes crumble.

What’s a cowboy to do when the love of his life insists they’re all wrong for each other?

He’s been waiting for fourteen years!

After all, who wants to marry someone who plans to fulfill a promise they made to you, but they don’t love you. The Cowboy’s Christmas Reunion | Valerie Comer

Today I am reviewing The Cowboy’s Christmas Reunion, the first story in the Saddle Springs Romance series by Valerie Comer.

Here is a brief synopsis:

When Kade Delgado joins his buddies in a Cowboy Santa program to shower Christmas blessings on old folks and single moms, he doesn’t expect his former fiancée to return to Saddle Springs, in need and with a child in tow. Does God really expect him to treat Cheri the same as the others on his new Christmas list?

Cheri Mackenzie has never forgiven herself for the pain she caused Kade by fleeing a week before their wedding, but undoing the past is impossible. Circumstances force her back to her aging grandparents’ Montana ranch, where Kade, now a widower with a toddler, is making himself cheerfully indispensable. When she receives kindness instead of the hostility she surely deserves, she can’t help but pray for a Christmas reunion with the cowboy she’s never stopped loving.

Is there any hope for a second chance at love?

MY THOUGHTS:

I was hoping Valerie would publish a story about cowboys — and now she has!

I don’t want to give anything away, so I’m going to be especially careful about saying much… except to encourage you to read this story. It’s SOOOOO good! I am thrilled that Valerie wrote about Kade and Cheri and their life story. If you are a lover of romance, you’ll love The Cowboy’s Christmas Reunion!  Stay with me… I’ll be reviewing the rest of the series this week.

Taye’s Gift | Pat Simmons

Today I am reviewing Taye’s Gift by Pat Simmons. This is the sixth book in the Small-Town Christmas Wishes series.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Who lays off someone before the holidays?

Taye Thomas’ employer did, so instead of Christmas shopping, she’s job hunting. More devastating news comes when an old high school friend passed away. Could God be answering her prayers for help when she learns that Charity Hart left a $1500 check?

No, the caveat is it’s more blessed to give than receive. Taye has 30 days to find someone else in need to bless. To complicate matters, she’s lives in Kansas City, which is more than eight hours away from Snowflake and she can’t do it alone. Keeping a secret has never been so much work.

MY THOUGHTS:

After getting laid off from her job, Taye Thomas is tempted to use the money she was gifted by her friend for herself, instead of using it as a secret angel for someone else. Knowing what her friend wants her to do, Taye comes up with the perfect idea — one that works out for everyone involved!

I LOVE the characters in this series. And I really LOVE that everything works out the way it should. And I’m not saying anything else… except to encourage you to get a copy of this book and read it for yourself. You’ll love it, too!

Happy Reading!

… and Merry Christmas!

Holly’s Gift | Josie Riviera

Today I am reviewing Holly’s Gift by Josie Riviera. This is the fifth book in the Small-Town Christmas Wishes series…

And here is a brief synopsis:

Miracles don’t always come easy. Sometimes it takes a secret wish to light an angel’s way.

When Holly steps into a homeless shelter looking for an MIA piano student, she notices a distinct lack of Christmas cheer—because a handsome building inspector is forcing the shelter to temporarily close down.

Holly knows bad guys—she was married to one. Yet when the man asks her out, she finds absolutely not warring with absolutely yes.

Tim Stewart doesn’t hold his breath waiting for God to answer prayers. He went from homeless desperation to television stardom to relative obscurity while God stayed silent. But when Holly barrels into his life, her steady faith sparks hope for a dream of his own. Even if it means praying for a Christmas miracle—one last time.

Remembered sadness is the stepping stone to tomorrow’s joy.

MY THOUGHTS:

What a wonderful story! My favorite musical instrument is the piano, and I was especially eager to read this story about Holly and the young girl who’s taking piano lessons with her. When Jasmine doesn’t show up — for the second time — Holly drives to Snowflake in search of her…

What happens next is … well, I won’t spoil the story for you, so I can’t say what happens, but I could NOT put this book down until the very end. And I can’t wait to read more by this author!

In the meantime, run… don’t walk… to your favorite book distributor and get a copy today!

Happy Reading!

… and Merry Christmas!

Sara’s Gift | Kimberly Rose Johnson

Today I am reviewing Sara’s Gift by Kimberly Rose Johnson. This is the fourth book in the Small-Town Christmas Wishes series…

And here is a brief synopsis:

Christmas is the season of giving, but Sara isn’t sure she is up to the task.

Playing secret angel in high school was fun, and now, years later, Sara has the opportunity to do it once more on a bigger scale. She enlists the help of Gabe, her long-time best friend, to come up with a deserving recipient. But something is off with Gabe—he’s more attentive than usual.

The Christmas season has put Gabe in a reflective mood. His evaluation of his life has left him lonely and wanting more. But can his heart have its desire? That’s up to Sara.

Can these two long-time best friends navigate their changing relationship, or will the romance Grinch steal their Christmas joy?

MY THOUGHTS:

Sara gets much more than she plans for when she plays secret angel to a young girl and her family. When she and a friend go out of their way to discover the best way to help this family, they receive a big a blessing as the family!

I especially identified with Sara, who owns a store and does workshops for wreath-making and other fun projects. I loved this heart-warming Christmas story of love and generosity.

And if you’re curious enough to read this story, you’ll find out what happens … and I’m certain you’ll enjoy it as much as I have! So hurry out and get a copy and start reading!

Happy Reading!

… and Merry Christmas!
