A Willow Ridge Christmas Pageant | Charlotte Hubbard & Naomi King Marathon

Today I’m reviewing A Willow Ridge Christmas Pageant… a novella found in An Amish Christmas Quilt. This story is a part of the Seasons Of The Heart series by Charlotte Hubbard.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Seth Brenneman didn’t expect his holiday would include rescuing pregnant young Mary Kauffman and her two children. . .or having unexpected feelings for the still-grieving widow.

But when they must play the leads in an impromptu live Nativity pageant to help his Amish community, will their roles reveal their hearts–and work a miracle for a lifetime?

Christmas is a time when faith brings peace, family brings warmth and new romance brings joy! Tweet this!

This story begins with Mary Kauffman and her two stepchildren arriving in Willow Ridge, looking for her “Aunt Miriam”; but before they find her, Mary goes into labor!

Mary is another wonderful character created by the amazing Charlotte Hubbard. When Seth Brenneman gets a visit from a strange dog, who compels Seth to follow him, he finds Mary and the children.

I love how Charlotte continues to give her readers more stories from the wonderful series we love. This story, A Willow Ridge Christmas Pageant, is part of the Seasons Of The Heart series, and if you’re reading the entire series, it should be read after Breath of Spring (and just before Harvest of Blessings).

All the other wonderful characters we love are here… and ready to welcome Mary and the children to their community. Charlotte does an awesome job creating – and maintaining – interesting, realistic characters.

Honestly, they are so interesting; most of us would just love to visit them. Story after story, the characters grow and develop, adding life, love, faith and hope to each story.

Charlotte’s books promote love, faith, hope and family – and this novella continues the tradition. Of course, there’s a wonderful Christmas message, too.

There are lots of interesting events packed into this novella… I don’t want to leak any spoilers, so I’ll leave the rest of the story for you to read for yourself. You’re going to LOVE it!

I hope you’ve read the first book in this series… it’s definitely my favorite way to read continuing stories. Although each book can easily be read as a stand-alone, it’s much better to enjoy the Willow Ridge saga, as it continues.

Don’t miss all the exciting events in A Willow Ridge Christmas Pageant by Charlotte Hubbard! Tweet this!

Huckleberry Spring – Book 4

Huckleberry Spring
Ever since the Helmuths’ grandson, Ben, abruptly broke his engagement and moved to Florida, Emma Nelson has kept busy tending her vegetable garden and raising award-winning pumpkins. She can put her heartache aside to help Ben’s mammi with her own pumpkin patch.

At least until Ben shows up to lend support to his ailing dawdi…

Gardening side by side with pretty, nurturing Emma is a sweet kind of torture for Ben. She could have her pick of suitors who can offer what he can’t, and he cares too much to burden her with his secret. Leaving once more is the only option.

Yet Emma’s courage is daring him to accept the grace that flourishes here, and the love that has been calling him back to Huckleberry Hill.

Huckleberry Harvest – Book 5

Huckleberry Harvest Cover
Mandy Helmuth doesn’t like Noah Mischler. Not one little bit. First he breaks her best friend’s heart, and then he has the nerve to chastise her for being a busybody.

She feels quite justified in her dislike until Noah does something heroic, like save her life, and she’s forced to bestow her grudging respect even as she determines to keep her distance. But when she unwittingly stumbles into his family troubles, she catches a glimpse of the person Noah so successfully hides from others.

Will Mandy be able to look past Noah’s rough and unyielding exterior to see the man she is destined to love?

Much to Noah Mischler’s annoyance, uppity Mandy Helmuth thinks she has the right to tell him how to live his life. If he weren’t helping Mandy’s grandfather install a stove and fix his roof, Noah wouldn’t be within a mile of Huckleberry Hill or that nosy girl who gives him a lecture every time she opens her mouth.

But when Mandy discovers the horrible truth about his father, Noah is forced to reveal humiliating secrets that he’s never shared with anyone. He trusts her with his secrets, but can he trust her with his heart?
