Samson & Amish Delilah | Thomas Nye

Today I am reviewing Samson & Amish Delilah by Thomas Nye.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Entertaining. Endearing. Unexpected.

A story of clashing cultures, hearts laid bare, and the power of forgiveness.

Delilah steps out of the pages of a bestselling Amish novel and into the real world. When media giants discover that she’s alive and well, the race to find her is on. A young man named Dave sets out with inside information, hoping to get to her first and cash in. He’s as surprised as everybody that there’s more than one Amish Delilah—how can he be sure that he’s found the right girl?

Dave searches the pages of the novel to be certain he has the right Delilah. Real life begins to merge with fiction and Dave suddenly realizes that he has fallen into the story and become Samson. Worse yet, he fears he is on a collision course with the novel’s wild ending.

Cultures collide as big media comes face-to-face with Amish family values. Dave and Delilah are caught in a vice between the two worlds. Will they sell out for the almighty dollar?

People from all walks of life will find themselves connecting with Samson and Delilah’s heartwarming, page-turning, story of friendship, redemption, and hope.

When Dave sets out to find the Amish girl who was the inspiration for a best-selling novel, he expects to find that she’s a local celebrity. Instead, he finds a sweet, young girl who wants nothing to do with the English world. But when media crews show up, it seems obvious that his search for her has been noticed by others.

Fearing the worst, he chooses to help Delilah escape from the media rather than collect the hefty fee he’s been offered by a media mogul, so he agrees to drive Delilah and her young brother Earl to Iowa to stay with their relatives.

Now, I could say a lot about the very colorful characters in this story… and the interesting conversations Dave, Delilah, and Earl have… and the ending… but I really think you should read this for yourself. There’s just too much to try to put it in a nutshell — not to mention, I hate giving away spoilers — and you’ll truly enjoy it more if you read it.

So grab a copy, sit back, and enjoy!

Happy Reading!

Amish Park | Thomas Nye

Today I am reviewing Amish Park, a novel by Thomas Nye.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Pete Heller and his wife Lisa are successful in their careers but have failed in love and marriage.

Their oldest daughter, Carrie, is sixteen and has already succumbed to a bitter heart, a byproduct of a dysfunctional family.

Ten-year-old Natalie is the only family member that hasn’t “fallen” from innocence and she has one last hope to rescue her loved ones from the dark direction they are headed, a broken home.

A theme park, called Amish Park, that her friend’s family visited and loved, seems like the solution to her. Amish Park is a paid tourist destination that offers modern families an opportunity to “live” the Amish lifestyle for one week.

Pete and Lisa reluctantly agree to visit, both thinking that this would be their last family vacation together. They had no idea that God had other plans…

I was excited to read about a tourist destination called Amish Park… it sounded like something I would love to visit, although honestly, I’d rather visit the real thing.

This is a quick read, but the story has everything it needs to be a great story!

The Heller family is in trouble, but they’re exactly where they need to be to get help. They adapt quickly to the Amish lifestyle and find themselves working harder than they expected to keep up with the resident family. Will they make it till the end–or will they give up? You just may be in for a surprise or two…

Read the story and find out for yourself. By the time you finish it, you’ll be wanting to plan a vacation with an Amish family, too!

Happy Reading!

Cowboys and Amish Girls | Thomas Nye

Today I am reviewing Cowboys and Amish Girls, found in Springs of Love, by Thomas Nye.

Here is a brief synopsis:

Cowboys and Amish Girls
Rodeo cowboy, Truman Gunderson, had never met an Amish girl.

Amish sisters, Faith, Hope, and Charity had yet to lay eyes on a real, live cowboy.

That is until Truman’s galloping horse crosses paths with Charity’s runaway buggy.

Truman is not the type to shy away from any challenge, but after he learns something about Faith, Hope, and especially Charity, he realizes that he has met his match.

When Truman Gunderson spots a runaway horse, he springs into action, chasing it down until he catches it–and lovely, young Charity.

And when he’s given a challenge, well, let’s just say he’s the perfect man for the job!

This is the first story that I have read by Thomas Nye, but I’m definitely looking forward to more! Pick up a copy of Springs of Love today!

Happy Reading!!!

God bless you!
