Today I am reviewing An Amish Year, consisting of four novellas by bestselling author Beth Wiseman.
Here is a brief synopsis:
Spend a year in Amish country with four sweet romances.
Rooted in Love
Rosemary Lantz is doing her best to run her family’s household. She excels at all her tasks except one: gardening. Saul Petersheim has pursued Rosemary for years, but Rosemary keeps turning him down. What Saul doesn’t know is that she has good reason—something no one can know—especially not him.
A Love for Irma Rose
The year is 1957, and young Irma Rose has a choice to make. Date the man who is “right” for her? Or give Jonas a chance, the wild and reckless suitor who refuses to take no for an answer? Irma Rose steps onto the path she believes God has planned for her, but when she loses her footing, she is forced to rethink her choice.
Patchwork Perfect
Eli Byler has been a widower for two years when he chooses to make a fresh start in Paradise, Pennsylvania. As Eli juggles the admiration of two women, he meets Miriam Fisher—the most unconventional Amish woman he’s ever met. She doesn’t fit the mold for what Eli is looking for, but it isn’t long before Eli realizes that Miriam is everything he wants. But Miriam has no plans to get married—ever. Will Eli be able to change her mind?
When Christmas Comes Again
Katherine knows the first Christmas without Elias will be hard for her and the children. But when a mysterious Englischer appears with photographs of her late husband, Katherine begins to wonder what other blessings Christmas could have in store.

MY THOUGHTS:
I don’t think I’ve met a Beth Wiseman book that I haven’t loved… and this one is no exception.
Beth draws your attention at the start, and if you’re like me, you won’t stop reading until you’ve reached the end. She writes wonderful Amish fiction novels – and her novellas are just as memorable. Don’t miss out on these special stories – one written for each season.
Rooted in Love
This story was previously published in An Amish Garden, and is about Rosemary Lantz and Saul Petersheim . . . what is Rosemary’s secret? Why did she break up with Saul? Do they have a future together? I can’t tell you – read the book to find out the answers.
A Love for Irma Rose
In this story, Irma Rose Kauffman is courted by two fellows . . . which one will she choose? One fellow seems perfect for her, yet the other one refuses to give up! Irma Rose wants to follow God’s will for her, but is the best man really the best man for her? Hmm. I know who is the best man – do you?
Patchwork Perfect
This story is about Eli Byler, a widower, who moves to Paradise, Pennsylvania, to find a wife and mother for his children. In Paradise, he is admired by more than one Amish woman. However, the one who catches his eye – isn’t even looking for a husband.
Miriam Fisher caught my attention – and my blessing – from the start! Can Eli change her mind? Will she stay single – or become a wife and mother? Oh, this is such a great story; I can’t wait for you to read it!
When Christmas Comes Again
This story was previously published in An Amish Second Christmas, and is a sweet holiday story with the happily-ever-after ending readers love! This story reminds us to never give up on those we love…
Katherine is concerned when she notices a strange man showing up whenever she’s in town, but it’s not long before a package is left on her porch for her – from him. Who is this strange man? Why does he seem familiar to Katherine and her family? Please read this story to find out…
Let me make something clear – this is one of the BEST Christmas stories I have read!
So . . . don’t miss this awesome book!
Happy Reading!!!
Blessings!
